March 14, on the Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer, a meeting of the Advisory Council on Veterans and Families of the Fallen took place in Zhytomyr. Among those present were the head of the Regional Military Administration (RMA) Vitaliy Bunechko, deputy heads of the RMA, commission members, and veterans. Also present at the meeting was Serhiy Bizov, the head of the All-Ukrainian Union of Defenders of Ukraine, Athletes, and Workers in the Field. Among the topics raised at the Council meeting were the improvement of the quality of service for servicemen in medical institutions, the issue of their rehabilitation, including psychological rehabilitation.
Mikhailo Slipchenko, head of the Advisory Council on Veterans and Families of the Fallen of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration, explains that a professional discussion on the social protection of servicemen took place. Slipchenko also emphasizes that after the speech by the head of the Union Bizov, his report on the work of the trade union organization and communication on this topic, a decision was made to start consultations on the establishment of the primary and then regional organization of the Union in the Zhytomyr region.
The head of the Union, Serhiy Bizov, in turn, emphasized the importance of a systematic approach to the protection of Ukrainian soldiers and veterans.
“It is necessary for every defender in any corner of the country to feel that they will always be helped if needed,” Bizov says.
