On Tuesday, January 23, the presidium of the All-Ukrainian Union of Defenders of Ukraine, Athletes, and Workers of Spheres took place, during which one of the issues considered was the establishment of a Center for Assisting the Military.

The head of the Union, Serhiy Bizov, reported on the need to create such a Center. The main goal is to provide social assistance to defenders of Ukraine, using institutional mechanisms of the trade union movement and the material and technical base of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine (FTUU).

Thus, the resort and sanatorium treatment facilities of the FTUU are used for the rehabilitation of military personnel, civilians, and have the ability to provide rehabilitation for 200,000 servicemen per year. The establishment of the Center for Assisting the Military will help reduce the cost of treatment threefold, thereby sharply increasing the number of military personnel who will undergo rehabilitation. In addition, educational programs are provided for military personnel and veterans.
